According a new study by Ampere Analysis, cord-cutters, shavers or cord-nevers all are showing good signs of SVOD adoption across the globe. The largest numbers, obviously come from the US at 71% people subscribing to at least one subscription video streaming service. Then there’s Sweden at 53%, UK at 42%, and the Netherlands at 38%.
The fastest growing SVOD markets are Italy and Spain, both standing at 17% points, Netherlands, Sweden and the US are all at 14% points and the UK at 9% points. The slowest growth was found in Poland at 4.5% points and France at 7.7% points. The fastest growing SVOD only homes year-on-year were in Germany at 6.1 percentage points, Denmark at 3.6 and the US at 4.1 PP.
