TicketPro, a Blue Label Telecoms’ subsidiary, is set to launch a streaming platform named COVID-Zero. The company has taken this initiative as the global entertainment industry has come to a halt, resulting in cancellation of all festivals and shows amidst COVID-19 outbreak.
The streaming platform will be exclusively streaming acts and performances of comedians, musicians and other artists online. Ticket sales from this streaming platform will be donated for supporting these artists and funding community care packages during the lockdown due to the pandemic.
The aim of Covid-Zero and the Trust Blu Foundation is to facilitate South African communities with care packages including hand sanitizers, masks, food vouchers and awareness information about staying safe during these times. The brand has already donated the first 5000 packages.
MD of TicketPro, Brandon Duffield said, “ Against the backdrop of a devastating pandemic, we are determined to provide entertainment for South Africans, while also giving a much-needed boost to our entertainers and to communities in need.”
