As per a research, there was a 116% increase in the social viewing of SVOD platforms. In January there was a hike of 932 million minutes when compared to February 2020, 432 million minutes.
The rise in SVOD content is due to the increase in millennials. Besides this, popular SVOD platforms’ presence on social media has boosted the number of unique viewers, for instance, Netflix accounted 93.2 million, Disney+ 21.8 million, and Amazon Prime 19.9 million from the US alone.
