With several improvements in the cable sector, still overall pay television subscriptions declined in 2016 by 2 million, nearly double the numbers from the previous year while OTT services, on the other hand, is rising. According to a recent report, revenue for U.S. cable, satellite and telco TV access providers rose 3% in 2016 to $107.3 billion and should increase another 2.1% to $109.6 billion in 2017.
