NBC finally launches Peacock, its streaming service, which is named after the classic logo of NBC network.
The direct-to-consumer streaming service is initially made accessible to the consumer base of Comcast, NBC Universal’s parent company. The service will then be made accessible to global audiences on July 15.
Peacock will be streaming a content mix of movies and television classics along with plus sports and its original production. Its consumers can select between different versions of the video streaming service. Peacock will have content of “thousand of hours” that will be available for free with commercials.
Consumers can also go for a paid “Premium” subscription which also has two versions; the one without commercials will have a higher subscription price and the other with lower price will be available with commercials.
