According to a new research, young millennials in the USA, who have never signed up for Pay TV are satisfied by the likes of subscription video streaming platform services such as Netflix and Hulu. The study found out that 77.9% of the millennial ‘cord-nevers’ said SVOD is the reason they never signed up for pay TV.
Out of the 81% of millennials cord-nevers aged 20 to 35, 90% said that SVOD services are sufficient to satisfy their entertainment demands. High cost, poor value of Pay TV and options availability in the VOD space are marked as some of the reasons in this decision.
