According to a recent report by The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commissions, canadians are consuming more audio and video content on digital media over internet connected devices. 20% of surveyed Canadians reported using music streaming services online, and 57% of Anglophones and 49% of Francophones report watching online TV.
According to the report people between the age group of 12-17 and 18-34 years are watching less traditional TV than in previous years. Conversely, 65 years and older Canadians watch more than twice the amount of traditional TV than younger ones.
