IPTV in South Korea is expected to cross $7 billion by 2020, according to analysts firm Technavio. The growth rate is estimated to be around 11%. The growth will be dependent upon the rise in demand for video on demand services, increase in interactive services, growth in targeted advertising, and rise in IPTV penetration.

In South Korea, being part of interactive TV is a good draw, and is helping operators move get more users on IPTV. Also the country is home to one of the highest high speed broadband lines. And IPTV makes a good percentage of revenue for broadband operators, which is predicted to increase to 30% in 2020.
