Facebook sees 100 million hours of video streaming every day. The apps now have a dedicated tab for videos at the bottom. Facebook is optimistic about live streaming potential and is hence adding a lot of features to it. It is now possible for users to search and access live & archived videos from friends, pages, or public broadcasters.

With this update, Facebook levels up the field for Periscope and YouTube. For advertisers, both platforms have worked well. Monetizing schemes are expected to be aggressively priced.
