ESPN+, the sports streaming service owned by Disney, is expecting to attract 8 to 12 million subscribers by the end of 2024. Although, ESPN+ is supposed to incur US $650 million annual losses for the current financial year 2019-2020, the leading eSports platform would reach profitability by 2023.
According to Morgan Stanley’s Predictions, ESPN+ will have 2.7 million paying subscribers by the end of 2019, which would further increase to 3.9 million by 2020, and then 6.7 million subscribers by the end of fiscal 2022.
Launched a year ago, ESPN+ sports streaming service has surpassed the 2 million subscribers mark in only 10 months.
