Dish TV, one of the leading Fortune India 500 corporations known for providing Direct-to-Home television services, launches a new OTT platform – Watcho. Both existing & new users of Dish TV can avail a free subscription of the streaming service as an introductory offer.
Watcho will offer more than 1000 hours of movies & short films, targeting the young millennials across the country. With this move, Dish TV will acquire a presence in both traditional and fast-growing online streaming market.
Anil Dua, Dish TV India Group CEO, commented: “The OTT platform will synergize with the existing DTH platform as this would help to control churning rates and benefit the customers, which now prefer to consume entertainment content on the go.”
The company is expecting to reach 10 million user-base just within the time period of a year.
