According to Digital TV Research, 40% of TV households in the world are digital. From 2010 to 2015, around 584 million digital TV homes were added across 138 countries. Out of which, 156 million were digital terrestrial TV, 231 million were digital cable, IPTV 88 million and Satellite PayTV was 67 million. In this video streaming age, analogue TV has reduced from 863 million in 2010 to 398 million in 2015 end. China leads in digital TV connections, and the Asia Pacific region contributes the most. Revenues from Pay TV was highest from US, followed by China at 10 times lower value.
