Netflix, world’s leading VOD service has announced its quarterly revenues to reach US$2 billion (EUR1.8 billion) for the first time. The results are said to be backed by the original summer hits ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘Narcos’. Netflix is on its way to strengthen its original programming seeing this better than expected hit.

Reported to stand at 33.9 million subs on its international front, Netflix hopes to hit 40 million by the year end. The US subs hit 46 million, compared to 42 million same time last year. The US quarter revenues stand at US$1.3 billion.
