CBS All Access, the direct-to-consumer digital subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service of broadcasting network CBS has debuted in Canada, the first non-US expansion of the OTT service.

The VOD service with 7500 hours of ad-free content will be available to Canadian audience over platforms such as iOS, Android and on Apple TV and Chromecast. The OTT service will foray into other connected devices soon as quoted by the company.

Marc DeBevoise, President and COO, CBS Interactive, quoted, “The launch of CBS All Access in Canada is a significant milestone for the service. We’ve experienced incredible growth domestically and see a great opportunity to bring the service and CBS’ renowned programming directly to international audiences across a range of platforms and devices. We look forward to continuing to expand CBS All Access across additional platforms, with even more content, and bringing the service to other markets around the world.”
