CanalPlay, the SVoD service of French pay-TV group Canal+, is planning to relaunch very soon. This time, CanalPlay will focus on documentaries and TV shows to attract more young audience. One can stream their contents with a monthly subscription fee of €10.

According to reports, this video-on-demand service will get revitalized in the OTT market with a brand new name as well.

The CEO of Canal+, Maxime Saada has said that a few months ago, their video streaming service collapsed after the decline of subscriber base from 800,000 to 200,000. According to him, this happened because of the restrictive content distribution rules of France. Last year, Saada said that Canal+ would be focusing on the development of its MyCanal multiscreen offering. And now they are all set to revamp their VoD service again in the OTT market.
